- The
Unreported Atrocities of Pakistan Coast Guard in
Coastal Village of Pishokaan
|
- Balochistan:Fishing is the only
source of of the living for the people of Pishkaan village of
district Gwadar city. But nowadays they have been forced to abandon
going to sea for fishing, radio Gwank reported in Baloch social
media today. according to report, the poor folk of Pishokan are the
worst victims of Pakistan Coastal Guard atrocities. Coast Guard has
issued warning that if the fishermen went out into the sea without
submitting their Identity cards to PCG quarters then they would be
punished.
Radio Gwank quoted the local fishermen as complaining that their
fellow fishermen have been beaten up by PCG for not abiding by their
unlawful order. They complained that their means of transport:
donkey carts, motorcycles and Pack Up vehicles are badly subjected
of humiliating inspections in check posts established by Coast
Guard; specially women and children are humiliated.
The humiliation of local fisher brethren of entire Balochistan
coastal belt isn't a new trend by the hands of PCG but in the wake
of a successful attack on a check post in front of the coast guard
camp on july 21st, in retaliation PCG surpassed the limits of their
atrocities when they killed Samad Bilal and Ramdan Yaqoob and one of
their friends, Razaq Palari is still missing after their abduction.
Radio Gwank reported an other worrisome fact that people are fearful
of the consequences of reporting of the accesses that the Pakistan
Coast Guard unleashed in the area, as their atrocities are not
reported in print and electronic media including the social media.
Just five days ago on November 28th, 2012, in Passo, a small village
3 - 4 km from Pishokan, a 14 years boy was gang rapped by coast
guard personnel. This heinous crime against humanity did get a place
of Pakistan media because of the fear that the Islamic State of
Pakistan gets angry.
