Balochistan Human Rights Watch:
Urgent! International Human Rights Institutions must take action against Pakistani atrocities on Baloch prisoners, in Mach jail Balochistan.

It is quite disheartening that in district Jail in Mach Balochistan there are twenty-four totally innocent Baloch citizens who have been given long sentences for crimes they did not commit. Balochistan Human Rights Watch has discovered that all cases against these individuals are false and fabricated. According to
BHRW the Pakistani security agencies arrested these Baloch political workers unconstitutionally and put them in secret MI (Military Intelligence) cells where they suffered brutal physical and mental torture at the hands of Pakistani military personals.

So far in Mach jail the following prisoners are kept and sentenced ‘we believe’ without any due process of law and a fair trial.

1. Toor Khan s/o Ghani Khan Marri, from Sibi, sentenced for 3 years

2. Mohammad Khan s/o Asad ullah Bugti, from Sibi, sentenced for 10 years

21. Geeta s/o Heerul Din Bugti, from Sui (Dera Bugti) 7years

22. Ahmed Khan s/o Jalal Khan Marri, from Quetta (New Kahan) sentenced for 7years

23. Mohammad Hassan s/o Gohar Khan Langov, from Quetta sentenced for 10 years

24 .Mohammad Murad s/o Rindak Bugti, from Ziankoh Dera Bugti sentenced for 2 years

In Mach central jail these political workers are detained and sentenced without a fair trial and all cases against them are false and fabricated. They are suffering from mental agony. They are deprived of the basic health facilities. Their relatives cannot even afford to go that far to visit them. If they somehow manage to go for a visit they will not be allowed to see their loved ones unless they bribe the jail administration.

The irony of the fate is that the Pakistani forces are still arresting innocent Baloch political workers, students and common labourers without any proof and then under pressure from the military and other intelligence agencies these people are considered culprits by the helpless judges. The provincial government and even the president Asif Ali Zardari has announced and assured Baloch that the operation initiated by previous military regime of dictator Musharraf will be stopped and all the political workers will be released soon but all in van as Zardari’s PPP is also following the foot prints of the ex-military dictator.

We humbly request to the International Community, Western democracies and International Human Rights Organisation to take notice of the injustices that Baloch are facing in Iran and Pakistan.
