By Archen Baloch 11/03/09 In terms of legitimacy, Pakistani occupied Balochistan has theoretically become an independent Baloch sovereign state in de facto, because in principal it has gained the prerequisite apparatus which qualify Baloch to seek international recognition in de jure to become an independent member state of United Nations. And that apparatus is the will of people for independent. Yet technically it is being forcibly governed by Pakistan. Pakistani state machinery is in no control in Balochistan. Baloch social organization is governed by its code of Balochi Rawaj - the unwritten Nasir Noori constitution. Baloch nation with a credential of 160 years independent wars with different colonial powers in different times has demonstrated to the world that, it has the strength to challenge any misconception, which defies and questions the Baloch sovereignty over its homeland. On the theoretical front, Baloch national struggle for freedom have achieved the broadest consensus which forms a national ideology. And the same ideology could be the foundation for any plebiscite in future political consideration of Baloch national question. Baloch national ideology is based upon cultural consciousness and strong belongingness to its soil; rather then any other religious ideology. But the occupying countries have tried hard to replace Balochi national ideology by using Islamic ideology. They have committed the crime of alienating Baloch from its culture and language and constantly pursued the policy of containment of Baloch nation’s progress and exploited Baloch culture. But all these futile attempts have failed and Baloch resistances have dismayed them utterly and have proven to the world that they are secular. The Qalat National Party’s (1930s) offsprings (Baloch political parties) signify the fact that Baloch have had enough exercises in the institution of democratic theatre. The very existence of different political parties itself bear out the fact that Baloch know how to defer, which is the essence of democracy. Totalitarianism has no place in Baloch social organization. Baloch believe in democracy, Even under years of forced annexation with Pakistan and Iran, Baloch have participated in Pakistan and Iran’s so called short lived constitutional institutions, and this itself a fact that Baloch are more democratic and secular then the ultra nationalist Punjabi and theocratic Persian regime. But both have failed in recognizing the cultural entity of Baloch nationhood. That is why Baloch have now lost faith in Iranian and Pakistani federacy respectively. On the practical side of the struggle, the Baloch national leaders, Khan of Kalat Shaheed Mehrab Khan, Amir Dost Mohammad khan Baranzai, Yousif khan megsi, Abdul Aziz kurd, Gous Baksh Bezanjo, Nawab Akber Khan Bugti Shaheed Nawabzadah Balach Marry Sardar Ataulla Mengal have always urged the Baloch nation for ending the occupation of Balochistan. That is why Baloch youths have now gathered the strength to fight Pakistani and Iranian occupying forces for the past 9 years, under the fifth resistance movement. despite the fact that enemy has the upper hand of sophisticated weapons of air fighters, helicopters, tanks and open access to international weapon markets, Baloch national forces have engaged Pakistani and Iranian forces over an area of sixty five hundreds thousands squire kilo matters. Baloch National struggle for independence, on practical front, on many occasions has demonstrated to the world that its national forces are in full control of masses will. Enemy forces are over stretched in all over Balochistan and they have been put on high alert, their will of fight is wearing away. The constant high alertness has rendered enemy forces in physical and psychological stress. Now Pakistani and irani leadership, both through many channels, have now started calling for compromises, and dialogue. In many areas of strategic zones, defection of enemy forces have taken place particularly in Dera Bugti, Kohlo Kahan, Mand, Gwadar, Sarawan Zahedan, Dashyari, Jehlawan, Noshki. And enemy forces defections have been facilitated by Baloch national armed forces under Balochi code of amnesty. In Dera Bugti without tanks and helicopters presence, the illegal flow of Baloch natural gas to Punjab and other cities of Pakistan is an utterly impossible task. The presence of tanks and helicopters guarding the pipelines in Dera Bugti and Gwadar is a grim scene for Pakistani regime which prevents foreign investors to come invest in Pakistan. The mega IPI and Gwadar deep sea port projects have been turned into a mega failure by Baloch national forces. The conclusion, it’s high time for world community to recognize Baloch nation’s aspiration: the ending of illegal occupation of Balochistan from Pakistan and Iran. |
