American Friends of Balochistan Enforced Disappearance is a Crime Against Humanity
Dear participants: I welcome you all in advance to the International Day of the Disappeared round table conference, August 30 at 2 pm, Murrow Room, National Press Club. Thousands of people all over the world are victims of enforced disappearances. This crime against humanity was promoted as a state policy under Adolf Hitler called "Nacht und Nebel" or "Night and Fog" to instil fear in the hearts of the general populace in the occupied territories and is continuing with impunity in Balochistan and elsewhere as we gather in the U.S. capital to pay tributes to the victims and their families across the world in multiple nations. Please see the names and organizations of the people who have confirmed attendance s of 9: 30 pm Monday: T. It is an irony that this day is being marked on Eid, or Muslim Christmas, but this might act as a symbolic gesture of solidarity at least 1,300 documented cases of enforced disappearances in Occupied Balochistan and thousands of other unresolved cases across the world. I am requesting Clothilde Le Coz of the Reporters Without Borders and Mr. T. Kumar of Amnesty International to be the two co-chair of the event. The event will begin at 2 pm with three minutes of silence for victims of enforced disappearances all over the world. The set-up is the speakers will be asked to come to the podium and speak for five minutes each. Messages of Balochistan leaders and activists will then be read out. Following that Ms. Le Coz and Mr. T. Kumar will deliver their keynote addresses. (All speakers are kindly requested to send me their brief bios of about 70 words.) This will be followed by a question and answer session. Enforced disappearances are clearly a crime against humanity and we must all in one voice demand that this Hitlerite policy of Nacht und Nebel must stop, from Occupied Balochistan in Asia to Mexico in America. We here in U.S.A. pride that this country is one of the best democracies in the world, but it is regrettable that it has not yet ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons From Enforced Disappearance.
